How do I create a file for my client ?
Go to File>New and type in the name for when prompted then click the create button.
How do I open a file that I have already
created?
File>Open - allows you to select a file from the list of those files that you
have already created. Just double click on the name of the file you want to
open or highlight the file name and click the open button.
How can I delete a clients file?
You can delete a file by simply going to File>Delete.
When I start up Tarasoft Titan all I see is the sample CMA what do I do?
The sample CMA is just that, it shows you a sample of what the downloaded
listings generally look like. Simply go to File>Close to close this sample
and then go to File>New to create your own file for downloading.
How do I limit my search by a price range, bedrooms, bathrooms or year built?
Uncheck the 'all' button you see on the right hand side of the main download
screen this will allow you to enter a range of parameters you would like,
remember to include all the zeros (Note: Don't forget to leave the 'all'
button checked if you do not wish enter a range into the parameter).
What is a clipped listing?
The clipped listing format allows you to choose which parts of the listing
information you want to include in your emails or print outs for your clients.
You can use the clipped listing format when you want to send your client
more details about the listing than are included in the standard/shorter
email or print formats. For example if you want to exclude certain information,
such as, the listing agent phone number information, but want to send out a
detailed description of the listings.
Go to listings>Set Up Clipping to highlight the data you wish to include.
What is a distributed download?
A distributed download search is a good way to download MLS(r) listings for
research purposes. It allows you to download all the active MLS(r) listings
for your specified property type so that you may see the full inventory of
properties available at that time for the area selected.
How can I change the name that appears at the
bottom of the CMA?
The name that prints on the bottom of the page is the name of registered user
that purchased Tarasoft Titan (You can confirm this by clicking on Help>About
Tarasoft Titan). If you do require a name correction or change due to a spelling
error or name change please contact us here at Tarasoft Technical Support for
further instructions.
Why do my downloaded listings have a grey X
beside them (orphaned listings)?
These are what we call 'orphaned' listings. Tarasoft Titan 2003 only has the
ability to re-run the exact search you have entered under the download menu.
If you have downloaded listings and then decided to change your search
criteria the listings that no longer match your current search parameters
with become orphaned. This means these listings are no longer associated
with your current search criteria and Tarasoft Titan does not know what MLS(r)
they came from so it basically flags these listings with the grey X and
considers them orphaned. These listings will remain in your search but will
not be updated in any way.
It is best to clear orphaned listings from your database and re-run your
current search. (Listing>Delete all Listings), then re-run the download with
new search criteria.
Can I download from 2 MLS(r) boards into
one database?
This is not recommended, we would encourage you to create a separate database
for each MLS(r) system that you work with.
Can I automatically email listings created
by 2 different MLS(r) board's to my clients?
Yes, you can now add your databases to the Auto Update scheduler regardless
of what MLS(r) system they were created with. For example if you use both
ITEC and IMRMLS you can add seperate databases from both areas into your
scheduler and Tarasoft Titan will automatically switch between them as
required. NOTE: Be sure you are running one of our latest software
updates, this will not work with databases created before 01/08/02, for
these older existing databases you would have to open up each database
and run one full download in order for the file to record and retain
what MLS(r) it was created in.
Can I search using a part of a word or
wild card?
For the majority of MLS(r) systems an asterisks (*) or percent sign (%) are
used to specify a wild card. For example: Forest Grove* - finds subdivision
that has forest grove in it (Forest Grove, Forest Grove Lot 2, Forest
grove unit 1) will all be found.
Why didn't my download include the MLS(r)
photos?
Check to make sure that you have checked the MLS(r) picture box when you
do your download. If you are still having problems with the photos
I would recommend downloading the latest software updates (Download>Tarasoft
Titan 2003 Update), you can also contact us for further assistance.
Can I download the MLS photos after if I
have already download the MLS(r) Listings?
You can also use the MLS(r) picture download to download the photos once you
have downloaded the initial listings under Download>Download from MLS(r)>MLS(r)
pictures.
How do I change my clients search criteria
after I have added them to the Auto Update Scheduler?
You will simply need to open up your clients database by going to File>Open and
select the file you wish to open. Once you have opened their database you can
go back to your download menu and go to Download>Download from MLS(r)>MLS(r)
listings, all of your search criteria should appear and you can change any
of the parameters that you have selected. Once you have made this change
this information will be saved and will be used as the download criteria
for any future emails with the Auto Update Scheduler.
